Which barcode type should I use?
Code 128 encodes any text or numbers and is the safest default. Use EAN-13 or UPC-A for retail products (they need an exact number of digits).
Why does it say my data is invalid?
EAN, UPC and ITF require a specific number of digits and only numbers. Switch to Code 128 for arbitrary text, or check your digit count.
